An incredible journey through time, from the Café Chantant in the 1930s to the cabarets of the present day, to trace the history of the Avanspettacolo and variety show, through the stories of those who did it, those who were lucky enough to see it live and those who simply got to know it through the memories of their family members and the wonderful tributes given to us by film and television.
